Fallout 2

In the first 24 hours of sales following the launch of GOG.com's Pay What You Want sale of the historic catalog of video games from Interplay, the sales topped 100k games, clearly demonstrating not just that a Pay-What-You-Want sale has appeal, but that Interplay made some really boss games back in the day!
The link for the sale is http://www.gog.com/interplay and at press time there is still 12 days remaining in the sale, which is centered around a sliding price bar that represents what you will pay, along with a plethora of statistics that include a counter at the bottom that shows how many games have been sold in the sale so far (the number was at 129,240 when we wrote this).
Whether you choose to pay a penny -- or more -- you get 8 games including BioWare's first title, Shattered Steel, though the average price paid appears to be around $13 for the collection -- which nets you 20 classics like Giants: Citizen Kabuto. For $34.99 you can get every single game from GOG.com's Interplay catalogue -- which works out to be 32 games for around a dollar each, and that includes the Fallout series, Freespace 2, the Redneck Rampage Collection, and Sacrifice (to name a few more).
While the Pay-What-You-Want sale is good news for veteran gamers who are familiar with and have played these titles in the past, it is great news for gamers who are just discovering the games being offered -- and we can only imagine how awesome it will be to play Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics for the first time after having been introduced to the series via the more recent smash hits that helped to establish it as one of the most popular game series ever. Nice.
