The Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC is where art goes to meet and greet the people, and The Art of Video Games did just that, having enjoyed one of the most successful showings... well... you know, ever? That's because we love our video games and when the art in question also happens to be from the games we grew up on, it is all that much more important to us. Even the Smithsonian understands that playing on your home stage is great but when your show is popular you got to take it on the road!
Which is why the show begins its 10-city nationwide tour this month, as it makes its first stop at the Boca Raton Museum of Art on October 24th, where it will remain on display through January 20th, 2013. After that the show can be seen on the following appearance schedule:
-- EMP Museum in Seattle, Washington (February 16, 2013May 13, 2013)
-- Phoenix Art Museum in Phoenix, Arizona (June 16, 2013September 29, 2013)
