A few days ago, COG licensed a 3D browser game 'Demon Hunting' to Ray Media for publishing in North America. This game is expected to become available in North America in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Demon Hunting is a cute style 3D browser-based MMO. Set in a fantasy world, Demon Hunting allows players to experience real-time combat fun. The game features easy-to-learn controls, diversified pets and equipment, time-travel gameplay and massive multiplayer PvP in castle siege battles. It is as good as a stand-alone game in making the players feel they are part of the the story. Rage inflicted attacks, PVP and monster harvesting offer a diversified gaming experience. Generous rewards can be obtained when achieving combos in monsters' killing, even making manually farming monsters an exciting experience.
Demon Hunting also incorporates classic elements of Diablo. It has a unique large PvP Survival Island, an astrology universe, crystal scramble, time travelling and other creative systems. Five classes and ten- thousand equippable items create a lot of fun customizing characters.
In addition, Demon Hunting employs all the sophisticated technologies available to browser games. It takes a mere few minutes before you can enter the world of Demon Hunting. Players can enjoy highly detailed graphics even on a low-end computer. The in-house engine allows for a seamless game experience, and frequent updates keep the game polished and highly secure.
According to COG, a survey data of American market says that the American MMO game market will reach a total of 290,000,000 USD in 2012, of which free games take up 50%. It is probably due to many Asian online game companies aiming towards the European and American markets.
In recent years, many Chinese game companies set up browser game operation platforms in North America and they have made good progress so far. Ray Media is also a browser game platform devoting itself to North American and European game operations. With its headquarters in Fuzhou, Ray Media's teams all come from overseas operation companies which have rich experience and excellent overseas media relationships.
Demon Hunting inherits Chinese MMO games' usability, user experience and payment system. Demon Hunting and Ray Media are a good combination of Chinese and Western elements. Both companies have shown their high expectations of the prospect of cooperation.
