SOE has confirmed that it is now offering the Alpha Squad Package for its award-winning MMOFPS, PlanetSide 2.
The Alpha Squad pack was created to allow players to gear up for the launch of PlanetSide 2 for free -- well, almost -- the package contains a variety of useful in-game kit that includes three weapon unlocks for each of the three empires, exclusive PlanetSide 2 in-game perks, an exclusive decal, an exclusive title "Founder," an exclusive camo set, a 6 month 10% experience and resource boost. The "Free" bit crops up due to the inclusion of $40.00 USD worth of virtual currency and instant access to the Beta program currently running.
