Demiurge Studios, developer of Shoot Many Robots announced today the first game in its mobile publishing initiative, and its team-up with Owlchemy Labs, creators of Snuggle Truck, as they work on an original Apple iOS action title slated for release in early 2013.
Both Boston-based teams are hot on the heels of recent releases; Demiurge's Shoot Many Robots: Arena Kings, a free-to-play PvP shooter now in closed beta for PC, and Owlchemy Labs with Jack Lumber, a pun-filled slow-motion log-slicing action/arcade game published by SEGA Alliance on Apple iOS.
"Our mutual hatred of robots and trees spurred an instant connection," explained Albert Reed, CEO of Demiurge Studios. "With Owlchemy's tremendous track record of engaging and stylish games, we're thrilled to be working with them."
"We can't wait to show everyone what we're working on," said Alex Schwartz, Chief Scientist of Owlchemy Labs. "Given our scientific expertise, and Demiurge's well known appreciation for scientific expertise, we expect only great things will come of this partnership. Also, science."
They tell us that additional details on the new project are coming soon -- and for more information on Demiurge, gamers can visit http://demiurgestudios.com/, while more information on Owlchemy Labs can be had with a visit to http://owlchemylabs.com/.
