With the massive PR machine that is GamesCom now rolling forward under full steam, PC games developer and publisher Paradox Interactive -- perhaps best known for its simulation line of games -- has expanded the depth of its information offerings for upcoming action-adventure title A Game of Dwarves, with an innovative demo setup on the show floor as well as an interesting presentation scheme.
Gamers attending the show have made veiled comments about the unique swag being handed out and Paradox has dutifully been releasing new screenshots and video trailers as an alternate form of swag for gamers who cannot attend the show but still want to experience the excitement of info reveals for which it is justifiably famous.
Founded in 1999, Paradox Interactive has been a leading global publisher of PC-based strategy and simulation games, and its steadily-growing portfolio includes firmly established PC franchises such as the critically acclaimed Europa Universalis, Crusader Kings, Hearts of Iron and the too funny to describe Magicka series.
The 2012-2013 game season will be Paradox Interactive's most ambitious season yet, with a line-up of titles set to release that includes War of the Roses, Starvoid, A Game of Dwarves, The Showdown Effect, Dungeonland and Europa Universalis IV. It is also expanding its presence in the free-to-play arena with upcoming games such as Salem: The Crafting MMO which features a groundbreaking death-effect and player character generations as a foundation element of play.
