Sleeping Dogs
We recently received a messenger pigeon from our informant at Square Enix revealing that the upcoming Windows PC version of Square's cop-drama action-adventure title Sleeping Dogs will include significantly improved graphics compared to the console versions, with what the game publisher is calling "advanced graphical features" that will "bring Hong Kong island to life."
The enhanced graphical improvements for the PC version of the game come down to extended support for the latest AMD and Nvidia graphics card features, which are combined with high-resolution texture packs, support for Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, performance enhancements for both dual and quad core PC setups, and enhanced performance for Nvidia SLI and AMD Crossfire, providing optimizations for both 3D and multi monitors on both AMD and Nvidia hardware.
Team Fortress 2 players will find a special bonus in the game, as pre-order via Steam includes access to eight new items in the Team Fortress 2 Triad Pack.
Sleeping Dogs is set to launch on 14th August 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. For more information about the game, visit http://www.sleepingdogs.net.
