Heroes of Ruin

Also for this game:

While a certain measure of eager anticipation is natural for any game whose focus is well promoted and interesting, when that game happens to be for Nintendo's take-anywhere play-it-hard handheld console the Nintendo 3DS, and it is a much-puffed and eagerly anticipated title, well, the excitement can get intense... Mind your blood pressure as Square Enix confirms that the wait is nearly over!

On July 17th gamers will finally be able to rejoice in earnest as Heroes of Ruin officially lands on Nintendo 3DS -- and there was much rejoicing! OK maybe not yet but soon! Actually if you cannot wait, if your itch is too itchy and your scratch not scratchy enough, why don't you head over to the Nintendo eShop and snag a download of the Heroes of Ruin multiplayer demo, as that should nicely scratch that itch temporarily.

Heroes of Ruin challenges players to carve their own adventure as a Gunslinger, Alchitect, Vindicator, or Savage, pushing social and online interaction to the forefront of gameplay through innovative use of the Nintendo 3DS system. Not only will they be able to get their game on pretty much wherever they want to, players can also trade rare and powerful items through an in-game shop which has an inventory updated through creative use of the StreetPass system.

Connect your 3DS console online to download fresh daily challenges, available immediately, which allow you to earn rewards as you play. Heroes can choose to take the battle to the next level by connecting locally or over the Internet to fight alongside their friends in cooperative multiplayer and talk strategy using real-time voice chat.

Considering the fact that our European gaming comrades have had this one for nearly a month prior to its North American release -- and yeah, they have been hollering "Neener Neener Neener!" at us the whole time, well, the anticipation is nearly complete. If you are a 3DS gamer and somehow have not heard of this fantabulous title, well, point your browser at www.heroesofruin.com and check it out -- just don't say we did not warn you that this is an instantly addictive game... Warned... You are warned...
