Lollipop Chainsaw Now Available, Severs the Undead in New Launch Trailer

The latest outlandish and bizarre game from No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned creator, SUDA51, is finally here in the form of Lollipop Chainsaw, a game centered around a young high school cheerleader's plight to destroy the swaths of zombies that have taken over her town.

Battling through the vast hordes of undead, our busty lead, Juliet Starling, hacks and slashes the numbers of brain-munchers to pieces with the help of her trusty motorised carver - the titular Lollipop Chainsaw. Also on hand to help her fight through the mindless is her boyfriend Nick, well, what's left of him anyway, as he is merely a (still alive) head which Juliet carries around with her, fastened onto her belt. Besides being a portable body-less companion, he doubles as an explosive device, which Juliet can throw at the zombs with all of the enthusiasm that is only possessed by high school cheerleaders.

Lollipop Chainsaw is indeed a peculiar game, as is usually the case with titles that are worked on by SUDA51 and his team at Grasshopper Manufacture, but it's rife with potential for crazy amounts of fun. The game is out today so you'll be able to make up your own mind if you go and pick up a copy for Xbox 360 or PS3 - the Lollipop Chainsaw launch trailer is below.
