Since its release one month ago on iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, Kabam's hardcore strategy MMO for iOS mobile devices, has reached one million players and risen to number nine on the iTunes App Store list of top-grossing iPhone games. Kabam is now preparing to build on the success of its first mobile game, by launching the game's Second City to further engage the game's vibrant community.

The game's new Second City again takes gamers into medieval Britain for a deep, Arthurian-style game of strategy and empire building, giving players the opportunity to double their power and resource production. The all-new city can be gained by earning crests by attacking wilds, purchased through the store, or won through the Merlin's Gift chance game.

The Second City includes new resources including the Round Tower to store crests gained from attacking Pict camps and wilds, and the Relief Station that speeds player transport between allied cities or cities of the same player. Other additions to the game are a new daily Might leaderboard that shows how players stack up in troop strength, wall defense changes to speed up and simplify combat, a new chance game, and an additional instant build queue available to players of level 10 or higher.

"Battle for the North players are not your average users who log in once a day to do routine activities," said Matt Ricchetti, VP of Mobile for Kabam. "Our players form a highly engaged community who actively participate in the game throughout the day. Most users play multiple times each day, and the top 10% of our most engaged players log in more than nine times each day."

Kabam's inaugural free-to-play mobile release will be followed with additional mobile games as the company continues to expand its product lineup and platforms.
