Talk about lucky -- next Tuesday (February 28th) gamer Nate Stehley of Clarksville, Tennessee will be receiving a very special visit from Nintendo in the form of a life-size Mario Kart vehicle! Stehley is the lucky winner of the GameStop Epic Reward Giveaway contest so Nintendo will be presenting him with the keys to the fully functioning kart, and how about that?

To celebrate the recent launch of the Mario Kart 7 game for the Nintendo 3DS system, Nintendo teamed up with West Coast Customs to create life-size models of two karts from the game -- one for Mario and one for Luigi -- and unveiled them at the 2011 LA Auto Show.

A recent episode of Inside West Coast Customs on the Velocity Network showed how West Coast Customs and Nintendo worked together to make these video game vehicles a reality. Members of the GameStop PowerUp Rewards program had the opportunity to claim Mario's kart as part of the monthly Epic Reward Giveaway -- and the kart that is the prize comes complete with a decorative glider wing, as represented in the game.

The Luigi Bumble V Kart resides at Nintendo of America's headquarters in Redmond, Washington, though you have to wonder if the gamer and the game company will ever get together to race those bad boys?
