Gridiron Heroes

Also for this game:

Normally we don't cover this sort of thing -- but being as it is in the interest of gaming and gamers in general, and being as how you know, for most of us it is the only chance we will ever have to get our name added to the credits of a video game, well hey! In just over two weeks' time, some dreams will be realized, and others, crushed, but that is the software business for you...

What that translates to is that there are only 17 days left to get your name in the upcoming MMO Gridiron Heroes, the next best thing to hit social gaming since a ticked-off bird crashed headfirst into it. How is simple -- a pledge of just $10 gets your name in the credits -- and hey, if your name is Bill Smith you could easily find hundreds of other guys named Bill Smith and talk THEM into donating the $10 and then the game credits would have a wall of Bill Smith's and people would say, did you see that Bill Smith game? We're just saying...

Seriously though, having your name in the credits is one thing, but if you are willing to dig a little deeper into your wallet you can actually name your own character in the game -- and spending a little more allows you to name a really good character in the game -- see these guys know what they are doing, and I am thinking about naming a character named Dirty Billy just to see how that works out!

This whole get your name in the game thing sprang out of the Kickstarter Project which was backed by Zynga co-founder Justin Waldron -- yeah he probably will be in the game -- but it seems that the target goal is still just $6,000 shy of meeting its March 8th deadline...

If the game project is fully funded not only will Gridiron Heroes make you a more attractive, interesting person, but it will also introduce a live multiplayer component that allows you to do battle with other attractive, interesting people in real-time. So give it some thought...

Fans are encouraged to contribute to Gridiron Heroes' Kickstarter page, which will help fund the development of Gridiron Heroes' multiplayer component.

(DISCLAIMER: The effects of Gridiron Heroes on physical attractiveness has not yet been proven by any credible medical scientists. It's not impossible though, right?)
