Assassin's Creed Revelations

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is without question one of the most anticipated games of the year in 2011, and following in the footsteps of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood means that it has a lot of ground to cover and a lot to live up to -- especially as Ubisoft has promised that this game will answer many of the questions about the series characters and the events that the first three games created -- and gamers want to know!

While the multi-player side of the games really cut its teeth in the last game in the series, its reception and the value that it adds to the games meant that it would have to be part of the focus in the sequels, and so it is! But to make that happen Ubisoft's game wizards must seek out the assistance of the gamers in order to further refine the multiplayer mode of the game, and they have decided to accomplish that task through an online beta test that is limited just to the PlayStation 3, and to a select group of PlayStation Plus and UPlay members.

The time has arrived -- on September 1st gamers awoke to find their special invitation to the beta sitting in their email inboxes, a magical 12-digit code that promises untold joy when the beta officially kicked off on September 3rd, allowing them the chance to download the game client early and so be ready to jump right in when the servers go live.

An 11-Minute video of AC:R Beta play footage shot by gamer Analogmarz and posted to YouTube illustrates a familiar mechanism but a welcome and new format for multi-player competition.
