GamesCom

As GamesCom 2011 draws near, Namco Bandai is preparing to unleash a hard-hitting line-up of games on the gaming public as they leverage the platform that GamesCom has become -- and reach out to the gaming community to let them know what is coming.
Specifically, the company is bringing a heavy dose of combat, death and devastation to the crowds at the very young gaming event (the first GamesCom was only held in 2009) that some members of the gaming brigade of the Fourth Estate have started calling Europe's E3.
While the crowds at the show -- and as GamesCom is traditionally open to all comers this includes literally every element of the gaming community from gamers themselves to the press, developers, PR's, and even a group of Canadian tourists who somehow confused Cologne with München -- are the primary audience for the news, demo's, and exhibits, the reality is simple: anything that they show or say at GamesCom will, like the events at E3, make its way onto the web and into games publications the world over. So hey, what that means is that they are talking to you !
Alongside special guest appearances and exciting events planned to occur throughout the show, there will be a lot of video game unveiling and revealing at the little gaming event at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany that is GamesCom 2011. The big show takes place from August 18th to the 21st, and Namco Bandai wants you to visit its booth at Stand B40 in Hall 7 if you are coming, and read about it if you are not.

The unique mixture of fans, gamers, the industry and the press has turned GamesCom into an open and friendly gaming event where fan participation is an encouraged part of the experience. Image courtesy of GamesCom (c) 2011
And the Line Up Is...
This year, eager fans will be able to get their hands on the following games: the new role-playing opus from Japan's FromSoftware, Dark Souls ; the electrifying airborne shooter Ace Combat Assault Horizon ; the newest unmissable chapter in the smash hit Naruto saga, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations and the worldwide public playable debut of Ridge Racer Unbounded , which opens a destructive new chapter in the history of the legendary driving franchise.
It's Hand's On Time at Booth B40 It is easy to confuse culture with flare, but make no mistake about it, GamesCom is a genuine mixture ..
