To follow up on the story we posted yesterday about the confrontation between Bill Goldberg and Chris Jericho backstage at RAW Monday, we have several more pieces of news to add to the story.

From what we have learned, Jericho was apparently upset because of a comment Goldberg made earlier in the evening about Jericho being "small" and not liking to sell for people. The comment made by Goldberg apparently made it back to Jericho at some point during the night and immediately following his match, he walked back through the curtain and went up to Goldberg about it. When Jericho asked him what his problem was and why he was talking so much trash behind his back, Goldberg grabbed Chris by the throat. At this point, Jericho turned around and slapped his hand away while yelling in his face. Jericho then put him in a front facelock and the two wrestled down to the ground. That's where they were than separated by trainers.

WWE.com now has a story up where superstars have been talking about the debut of Goldberg. Of course because it's the company website, they are all pretty good toward his debut. One wrestler came on record as telling us "In less than a week, Goldberg proved what he's all about. He can't work, he can't talk, and he's a backstage disaster." Another said, "Outside of the ring, Bill is a great guy but the second he gets into the locker room and the ring, he becomes a different person. As nice and caring as he is away from the ring, he's the exact opposite inside it." One former WCW and now WWE star said, "I don't think the guy realizes that the business is a work."

Many people are wondering how long Goldberg will be in WWE. He's not getting himself off to a very good start.

Sounds like Jericho showed Goldberg not to mess with the King of the World. Also, I wonder who it was that said that about Goldberg.

Goldberg's giagantic ego taking over...

Nice to see Jericho step up to Goldberg and show him he's not "all that". I hope Jericho got in a nice punch while they were taken down to the floor. :o

Why? It's Goldberg's second week and he's already in heat with management. Jericho's been there 3 years and has hardly had any problems. What would that tell you about Goldbergs attitude?

I dunno if they need him, they want him for sure but at the moment they are just bringing in any old wrestler that can get ratings up, hell we might even see Juventud G return ahahaha

What do you mean WWE doesn't need Jericho? Without Jericho and Rock on RAW, aswell as Christian, I wouldn't even be watching it. :o

" One former WCW and now WWE star said, "I don't think the guy realizes that the business is a work."

I wonder who said that...

I've thought of Booker T, Benoit, Guerrero, or maybe even to the extremes of Triple H back from his Terra Ryzing days.

The WWE doesn't Jericho!? Jericho is holding Raw together now, along with the Rock. They make it intresting. Goldberg sucks, and the WWE doesn't need him. Hell, bring Austin back and bring Hogan in from SD and boom, you got a storyline with either one of them heel. That would do way more than Goldberg could ever do. He sucks in the ring, out of the ring, on the mic, and his has a ****ty attitude!

Also, I think it was probably Trips and possibly Booker who made the comments. Both had problems with Goldberg in the past, anyway I THINK Booker did, but I am not sure.

HHH would jump at the oppurtunity but I think that things are too tense at the moment for HHH to try anything stupid, he is best to just avoid Goldberg at all costs. We dont need more backstage drama.

It was probably some ex-WCW dude who hasnt been invited into WWE yet and wants to see Goldberg gone.

I'd doubt Triple H, because he would come right out and say it was him saying it, everybody knows he hates Goldberg and he isn't afraid to admit it.

I'd probably guess Booker, Benoit or Eddie too, probably more towards Eddie.

In reply to REC: Triple H has already kinda started stuff with Goldberg. After Triple H's match on RAW two weeks ago, when the Goldberg promo aired, Triple H stood in the ring and gave the finger to the titantron showing the promo.

Maybe Steiner, but it could be anyone who was in WCW. I could see Eddie saying it alot too, since I heard Goldberg didn't want to compete against him too.

Man, I could name a list of who could've said that.

Yeah, there's like... So many since the invasion. Probably around 50 that are either in development or on-screen.

Man, I wish I would have watched wrestling back then, I'd be able to think back on it and laugh my ass off. :(
