View Full Version : I Missed Wrestlemania XIX and RAW, But Do I Care? Do You Care If You Miss An Event?

This past week I was laying on a hospital bed waiting to go home to see Wrestlemania with all its hype. The, looking forward to RAW the following night.

As Sunday came I was told I had to stay. I was pissed as hell and I went nuts. I didn't know what to do. Then on Monday, I had to stay again. I asked my aunt to tape RAW, and my friend just in case my aunt failed to do so. Tuesday came, I went home. I ordered the encore showing from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

When I watched the event, I was really shocked. I'd thought it would be a lot better, but it was just werid. All the matches were fine, Y2J vs. HBK and Angle vs. Lesner standing out the most, but I thought to myself; was it worth it?

This morning I woke up and watched RAW. That was pure crap. The matches made no sense, and we got Goldberg. Wow. After a Wrestlemania, you have to have a good shot, but this was crap. I found myself fast forwarding most of the show. The highlight of the night was probably...uhhh...RVD and Kane winning the tag titles? Y2J, HHH, and Ric Flair taking out Booker T and HBK was pretty nice, so blah. It was a bad show in my opinion.

Now, after all that steam I let off on my parents at the hospital for missing Wrestlemania, I find that it was a mistake. I got to watch it eventually, and it was all good. So now I ask you, when you miss a show, such as a PPV event, or RAW, do you get pissed, or coud you careless? Do you tape it, or if it was a PPV, match the encore or what?

Don't hospitals have televisions? Canada's hospitals do anyway... When my Dad was in the hospital he got full cable brought up to his room and PPV services. (Costed money, but not much.)

I'm the same way. No matter how I much I hate the wrestling product right now (which I do), I'll still never miss a sho, unless its Heat or Velocity, those I could care less for.

^I'm the same way. In fact, I hav'nt missed a Raw or Smackdown! in close to 2 years. Even though I'm not happy with the WWE, and even if the matches do suck, I still find myself watching it, it's almost like an addiction. --;;

I used to watch Heat every chance I could while Raven was there, but then I quit watching it toward the end as he was jobbing to wrestlers like Jeff Hardy...ugh. :o

I'm the same way as you guys, I try to watch Heat and Velocity too, Velocity mainly they usually have good cruiserweight matches. I haven't missed a Monday or Thursday Night show in close to over 3 years, cept in the summer sometimes when I'm away at camps.

I used to get annoyed if I missed a show, wether it be RAW, Smackdown! or a PPV. Now, seeing as most of WWE is crap, I don't really care. They don't even have Smackdown! here anymore...

I normally try to watch it. The last time I remember missing any of Raw was the Rock Concert, cause I fell asleep at like half of Raw. And I missed the return of Rhyno as well, and that was the last SD I missed. Sometimes I'll watch Heat, and I'll normally switch between SD and Velocity, cause I get them on the same night, at the same time, which sucks. Also, I alweays try to download and keep up TNA as much as I can. I may miss a week here or there, but I generally know whats happening. In the summer though, I'll be ordering it every week.

Does New Zealand have a PPV deal with TNA of any sort so you can watch it, or no?

Man, I started watching it again. When I missed one RAW, it's when everything happens. For example, one RAW was when Stacy Keibler got her assed pumped with a squirtgun by King. Of course I missed it. I missed this past week's too. Everything happens there. Ugh.

[EDIT:] Hospitals do have cable. When I had to stay two nights there, they had full cable. Hell, they even had an N64 where my mom went and rented games for me.

MUHAHAHAHA! NWA/TNA is free to air here! Well, after the costs of Foxtel that is, but I don't have to buy it using 'mainevent'. MUHAHAHAHAHA!

So? So, I don't get PPV either way, so it wouldn't work for me.
